Jodorowsky's autobiographical movie The Dance of Reality, which was based on this book, was released at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Not a traditional recounting of chronological memories, it is autobiography told as an act of self-healing. To peer back into our past, he says, is equivalent to digging into our own souls. If we can dig deep enough we can find an inner light.
