She’s knitted On the Edge and Over the Edge, and now Nicky Epstein takes her love of embellishment Beyond the Edge, sharing more than 150 one-of-a-kind edgings and adornments for cuffs, collars, angles, corners, and necklines. With her signature inventiveness, Epstein provides an abundance of designs to take stitchers one step further.
The first two books in the series used swatches to illustrate edgings, but in this latest volume the finishings are incorporated into the actual design so knitters can see just how they’ll look. The patterns range in difficulty level, from simple and elegant ideas for beginners to complex and extraordinary techniques for advanced crafters to try. The projects include a bell-sleeve jacket with Celtic knot closure; a stylish cable-hooded wrap textured with bobbles, and a Fair Isle coat in eight different colors of yarn with twisted cord embellishment.
